The rock under the water in the sea of campus technology

LMS adoptions. This isn’t customer’s first rodeo. They are getting better at it. Campus constituents are also far more accustomed to change. I call it the rock under the water because it won’t be obvious, but it’ll be there. I’m predicting selection and implementation timelines becoming shorter as a result of adeptness to technological change.

I suspect that in the coming years, whenever there is even a slightly better LMS product on the market, people will be able to pick it up and move to it more easily. And if disappointed with the new product or service, for whatever reason, they will change again, just like we do with our cell phones. We live in a disposable society – why would campus technology be any different?
